Years ago I sat in a winter survival class stymied by the instructor’s proclamation, April McKeegan in snow country “In the wilderness, cotton kills!”
I looked down at my clothes and realized in horror I was covered from head to toe in this murderous material.

Killer Cotton!
How could this soft, plush fiber, a common thread in everything from socks and undies to bedspreads and pillows, get such a raw deal?
